About Grossman Woodworking

Hi, I’m Brian Grossman — the crazy, sawdust-covered guy behind Grossman Woodworking. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and that passion is now growing into a small business rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep appreciation for hard work.

From First Cut to Full Shop

I didn’t grow up in a cabinet shop or inherit a business — but I did inherit something even more valuable: my dad’s old tools and a love for building things with my hands. For years, woodworking was just something I dabbled in when I could find the time. But in early 2025, I decided to take it seriously — documenting my journey publicly, building a shop from the ground up, and sharing every success and setback along the way.

I’ve been learning on the fly, starting with a few basic tools and growing into a fully functioning woodworking space where I create furniture, home goods, and custom projects. Whether it’s a cutting board, an heirloom piece, or a DIY tutorial on YouTube, I put the same level of pride into everything I build.

Why It Matters

For me, Grossman Woodworking isn’t just about woodworking — it’s about legacy. I want to pass down not just the skills I’m learning, but the values that come with them: patience, persistence, and the satisfaction of seeing something through.

It’s also about sharing. I believe in teaching others what I’m learning, being honest about the process, and encouraging folks — especially those who are starting later in life — that it’s never too late to create something great.

Life Outside the Shop

When I’m not in the shop, I’m likely spending time with my wife and our growing family — including a granddaughter who already knows me as “Pops.” We live on a small piece of land in Georgia, where we enjoy the quiet of the woods and plenty of time outdoors.

Grossman Woodworking isn’t a massive operation, and that’s exactly how I like it. Every board I cut, every finish I apply, and every email I send is handled personally. This business is built on authenticity and community — and I’m glad you’re here to be a part of it.
